Alaina Lake
Sister Alaina Lake I am coming up on my fourth year as a 1st grade teacher. I absolutely loved my teaching experience the past three years and I'm so excited to continue teaching. I'm excited to get to know each of the students on a personal level and encourage and watch each of their talents develop into amazing strengths for Heavenly Father's kingdom. I try my best to effectively communicate with parents about what is happening in my classroom and I'm always looking for ways to improve

Alyssa Taylor
I have been teaching at Morning Star for the last 5 years. I love working with the little kids and doing hands-on activities. I'm working towards my bachelor's degree in education to better my knowledge on how to help each student grow and succeed the very best possible. Seeing the progress the kids make is the most satisfying thing, and it helps keep your drive strong. I'm so excited for the next school year and to have tons of fun!!

Charity Hart here, delighted to have spent five enriching years at Morning Star as an educator. My joy stems from nurturing the next generation, weaving a deep connection with each student and embracing their unique personalities. In my classroom, I try to blend teachings of Heavenly Father with academic challenges. I firmly believe that by imparting spiritual wisdom alongside intellectual knowledge, we provide students with the essential tools to shape their character and build the future generation

Hannah Rivers
My name is Sister Hannah Rivers, and this is my third year as a first-grade teacher. Prior to this, I worked as a TA at Ensign Elementary School. I thoroughly enjoy witnessing each of my students progress and grow into the next generation that Heavenly Father intends them to be. I appreciate the unique personalities that each student brings to the classroom. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing your students grow in my class.

Jewel Andrews
My name is sister Jewel. I am so excited to teach 1st grade this year. I have been a teacher for 7 years going on to my 8th. I have learned so much Throughout the years I've loved and cherished every moment I've had. All these years that I've had the opportunity to teach has shaped me into the teacher I am today. I've met so many amazing students that I was able to help and am so excited to continue again this year.

Josie Brown
My name is Josie Brown. I enjoy doing things outdoors, and I love spending time with my family. One of my life’s goals is to be someone that other people can go to in a time of need. I strive for excellence and look for opportunities to help others around me. I appreciate the chance I have to work at Morning Star, and I really love what I do!

Kandice Gustafson
My name is Kandice Gustafson, I'm 21 years old. I have 2 kids that I adore and I love everything about being their mom. I have a passion for teaching and dancing and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to work at Morning Star!

Mary Barlow
I have been a teacher since 2009 and have loved each year! The kids I've been blessed to help teach, have taught me so much! I love helping my students understand the how and why we live gospel principles, seminary is the best part of our day! I love playing games and encouraging meaningful questions/discussions that spark tangent mini lessons that the students always find interesting because it came from their genuine question. I love to find a way to help students to think around a problem because they don't always just remember. This will be my 6th year teaching 1st grade; it is such an amazing opportunity to help our children grow, understand, and be excited to reach the next level.

Mary Wyatt
My name is Mary Wyatt, and this will be my second year at Morning Star. I’m so thankful to be part of such a kind, supportive, and faith-filled environment. Working with kids has always been a passion of mine. I love seeing their personalities shine as they grow, learn, and explore the world around them. I feel incredibly blessed to be part of a team that shares so much love and dedication.

Miranda Kohles
Hello, my name is Miranda Peterson, My mom's name is Nichole Peterson. I am 18 years old. I Have been teaching summer school for the past 4 years and I can't wait to teach your Children this year.

Rachel Caldwell
My name is Rachel Caldwell. I am 25, a mother of 3, and I will be expecting a fourth child this September! I have had the privilege of teaching preschool here at Morning Star for the past five years. This year will be my first time teaching first grade, and I could not be more thrilled for the opportunity to guide your children through such an important and foundational year! My highest priority as a teacher is to help each student develop strong character and build a close tie to Heavenly Father while also helping them to master the curriculum. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to ensure that all of my students maintain high academic standards and strongly believe in the power of hands-on learning. I love incorporating extracurricular activities and going above and beyond for holidays and birthdays.
I am grateful for the time I’ve spent at Morning Star and the experiences that have shaped me as an educator. This school is truly special, and I hope to make this year a success for all my students!

Sarah Peterson
I have been teaching for about three years, and I truly enjoy bringing creativity and fun into the classroom. I believe learning should be an engaging and enjoyable experience, and I love finding new ways to connect with my students. While I value fun and excitement in our daily lessons, I also emphasize the importance of obedience and respect—for me, for each other, and for anyone we encounter. My goal is to create a positive, energetic environment where students feel inspired and supported every single day.

Veronica Mason
My name is Veronica Mason, and I am excited to begin my second year as a first-grade teacher and my fourth year as part of the Morning Star team. One of the things I enjoy most about teaching first grade is the opportunity to engage students in fun, hands-on activities throughout the year. It is incredibly rewarding to witness the growth and progress my students make as they develop both academically and personally. I look forward to a wonderful school year ahead!

Victoria Keddington
I’ve been teaching for over seven years and hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education along with a current teaching license. As a mother of seven, I bring both experience and heart into the classroom, creating a nurturing space where students feel loved, supported, and excited to learn. I strive to weave the spirit of the Lord into all we do. Outside of school, I enjoy gardening and spending time outdoors with my family.
