It’s a very fulfilling experience being able to help shape the hearts and minds of the next generation! The students at our school always show such promise! Watching them reach their potential is one of the most rewarding things a teacher can accomplish and I can’t wait to help another year of students do exactly that!

I also love making new friends, especially with young children who I can teach and whose lives I can help make a positive impact on. I will try to be the best teacher and example I can be, and I'm very willing to help where it is needed.

Keira Stowell
Hello! I'm Kiera Stowell. I really love making people smile and have done so for many years with my own siblings. I have worked with many age groups of kids and have learned to step into their perspective and understand them as a person. With this skill, I have acquired patience with anyone I meet. I am naturally positive and patient with kids and love making them feel happy and I can't wait to meet so many more bright kids!

Kyla Kingston
I have a passion for teaching because I love seeing the kids understanding and learning everything they need to learn. I love seeing smiles on the children's faces ready to learn. This helps the class an enjoyable and fun environment to learn. I also love when I could see improvement in the students' learning. I've helped and taught at Ensign and helped my mom in her daycare and I've really enjoyed it. I love working with little kids. They are so much fun. The joy of teaching is something I would want to do.

Every day, I get to help shape young minds, encourage their curiosity, and be part of their personal and academic growth. It’s such a rewarding feeling to see them progress and develop new skills, and I’m grateful for the chance to make a positive impact on their lives.

Lawina Johnson
I have had the privilege of working as a substitute teacher for all grades for a couple years and even speech therapy for a year. I worked 17 years in preschool, and I have learned so much. I am very grateful for the honor of working at Morningstar Academy. I love the little children and am so thankful to be able to mold the hearts of the beautiful little preschoolers. I truly hope I can help make a big difference.

Lindsey Kingston
This is my 4th year teaching at Morning Star and I'm so excited to teach preschool! I currently have an associates degree in early childhood education and am working towards a bachelor's in educational studies in elementary education. In my classroom, I focus on procedures and encouraging my students to keep a strong tie to their parents, especially to their fathers. I have a lot of patience with kids, and use every opportunity I can as a learning opportunity to teach rules, procedures, and character development. I include Heavenly Father wherever I can in my classroom, whether that's during the Bible lesson, teaching students to take care of things, and even at meal times.

Trinda Mason
This year will be my fifth year with Morning Star and my third year as a preschool teacher. I have two kids of my own and I've absolutely loved the years I've been here, working with your kids! I enjoy experimenting with different extracurricular activities in my class, especially around the holidays! I like to keep a well structured classroom with a balance of work, play, and rest time for my students. I value the gospel principles and do my best to implement those things in my classroom as well. I feel that it's important for parents to be kept involved and updated with their child's progress in class to ensure a better learning experience for everyone in my classroom. I'm so excited for this school year and can't wait to meet my classes!
